One of the things I enjoy most about my job is getting to participate in community events. I never know who I’ll meet or what stories I’ll hear.On May 23rd, I had the pleasure of participating in Marian Anderson Academy’s Wellness Day, where I brought materials to support the mental health and well-being of the Elementary School staff. As soon as I walked into the building, I was greeted by a welcoming but rather unusual staffer, who told me his name was Assistant Principal Cade. All of about four and a half feet tall and wearing a dignified navy suit coat, Assistant Principal Cade proudly led me to the tabling room. He then, with no hesitation, completely decimated my stash of Lisa Frank stickers. If that sounds unusual, it’s because AP Cade is an absolutely delightful 2nd grade. He was only Assistant Principal for a day. Throughout the day, adult staff members also stopped by the table, picking up affirmation stickers, wellness toolkit flyers, palm cards, and yes—Lisa Frank stickers, too.It was a day filled with joy, care, and connection—the very heart of community well-being.

Two minds, one mission: apply every single sticker. They take their decorating duties very seriously.
