Wishing You A Happy New Year

Sending mindfulness to all in this new year.

Neanta Parnell – January 6, 2023

Happy New Year! With the new year comes a variety of emotions, intentions, and desires. People tend to try to reinvent themselves, or suddenly begin new habits to start the year off “right”. You can choose to exist in the new year any way you choose; however, we invite you to sit with yourself first.

Take inventory of how 2022 affected you and journal about it. Really take time to think about how you would like to improve, where you want to be more gentle with yourself, who you want to share your space with, but take baby steps toward the goals you set for yourself. Nothing happens overnight, especially if the habits we’ve lived up until this point have been developed over years. Be sure to also lean into aspects of yourself that served you well in 2022. Congratulate yourself.

And so with this new perspective, we say Happy New Years again.

“To a year of possibility and the flowering of potential.

May your roots be strong and your branches flexible, staying steady and bending easily with all the growth openings life brings you.

May you awaken more deeply to your connectedness, holding close those you love and the whole fabric of life. You are not alone!

May you know that you matter and your light is a gift in the world.

Let it shine.

From all the inner Strength team,

Thank you for being part of this growing community.

We’re grateful to be able to share this positivity together.”

Amy Edelstein, Founder and Executive Director of Inner Strength Education

It is with this flexibility and by remaining grounded can we relish in the freedom that is being, and growing into ourselves. As we mature into our true selves, show gratitude to those most important to you, even if it’s yourself.

You are not alone in your journey and it is imperative that we see the role we play in the grand scheme of things. To see your true value, while appreciating the value of others – creating  a nebula – each star serving its purpose in its unique way.

As you work toward your space in the nebula of life, be gentle, be kind, be nourishing to yourself. Forgive yourself, cheer yourself on, adapt to the big plans life has for you. Lean into your strengths while embracing aspects of yourself that are challenging. You cannot have one without the other, positive without the negative, you just need to learn how to navigate the gratitude that the negatives teach us.
